Situated on the Fereneze Braes in Barrhead, Fereneze Golf Club is home to a moorland course with breathtaking views over the Clyde valley and beyond.

All this solitude is barely half an hour's drive from Glasgow city centre. In fact, many of the holes are named after distant Munros, which are clearly visible on the skyline. On this course, you're around 600 feet above sea level, so you're going to get see for miles on a clear day.

It's not just the stunning views that make this course worth the visit however. Many of the holes are an excellent test, with the par-4 fifth in particular demanding a drive over a gorge.

The par-5 eighth hole gives you a tough decision, where you can either cut the corner of a reservoir, or play it short and safe around the corner.
