Instituted in 1884, Kinross Golf Club is within reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh and offers two stunning parkland courses that look out to the hills and beyond.
Both fair, but challenging 18-hole courses, Kinross' slightly easier setup is 'The Bruce Course', which measures around 6,000 yards depending on what tees you play from.
As a thoroughly enjoyable test of golf, the Bruce boasts undulating greens, streams, ponds and enticing, narrow fairways that provide a challenging activity to both low and high handicap golfers alike.
Few courses have an outward nine holes to a Par 39, but there are four Par-5s in six holes - punctuated by the infamous pond hole - the 6th. Many of the fairways are bounded by trees and plantations, with a mixture of mature cherries, oaks, beech, ash, pine, larch and spruce offering fantastic views of the surrounding countryside.
