Whilst the Queen's Course at Gleneagles is not as long as some of Scotland's other top championship courses - measuring just under 6,500 yards over its eighteen holes - it is still an immensely enjoyable place to play a round of golf, and has a delightful romantic element to it which is complemented by the magnificent Heartlands countryside in which it is set.Â
A fabulous example of the work of legendary golf course architect James Braid, it is very famous for its inward nine which is one of the most satisfying closing halves of any golf course anywhere in Britain. Indeed, with water-hazards on almost every hole, the closing stretch is a mouth-watering prospect as you stand on the tenth tee.
