Situated along the River Dee, Peterculter lies among some of the most beautiful scenery in Aberdeenshire. The course follows the natural contours of the riverbank, with glorious views of the valley set against the Grampian Mountains.

The 18-hole parkland layout at Peterculter, which is just a short drive from Aberdeen city centre, was first first established in 1991. It measures just over 6,200 yards from the medal tees and plays as a par-71. The course is a relatively easy walk, and with just two par-4s over 400 yards, it is not one that only rewards the big hitters. Among the cleverly-designed holes is the 187-yard par-3 10th, which is played towards a narrow green heavily protected by bunkers, backed by the River Dee.
