An interesting layout dictated by the terrain around Easter and Wester Craiglockhart hills, Merchant of Edinburgh golf course is an undulating course with some superb views across the capital city, and across Fife and the Lothians.

It is a short, quirky course featuring a few blind shots that will tempt the ambitious visitor, while encompassing a mixture of rewarding and punishing holes. There are no par fives, although seven par threes are a welcome sight for most and can be relied upon for some entertainment.

The rough is not particularly punishing and there are only a few bunkers and artificially created hazards, so it's certain to be an enjoyable round played.

One look at the modern, vibrant clubhouse and you will know this is a perfect place to play golf, and both can boast being in incredible nick.
