One of East Lothian's newest golf courses, Craigielaw only opened in 2001, but it has already established its place among the big names on this famous golfing coastline.

Designed by Donald Steel, it is located just 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, yet  the course is so serene that the buzz of city life seems so far away.

With its challenging greens, deep bunkers and spectacular views over the Firth of Forth and Gullane Hill, it is no wonder that Craigielaw has hosted so many top events, including the 2006 Scottish Amateur Strokeplay Championship and qualifying for the 2007 British Seniors Open.

The 18-hole course has a taste of the finest links golf courses around, and its a welcome modern addition to one of Scotland's best golf regions.
