Cleveland Golf’s aim to become the go-to short game brand is continuing to gather pace with the release of the eye-catching new Cleveland Huntington Beach putter collection.

Designed to give soft feel without costing the earth, the new line-up replaces the previous Cleveland Classic Collection HB putters.

It has been named after Cleveland’s headquarters in the USA and the brand believes it has managed to improve the performance significantly without charging a big price tag.

Cleveland describes all three of the new models as being ‘visually striking’ with the 1, 4 and 6 head shapes all available from the middle of September.

The Cleveland Huntington Beach 1 model has been created as a classic plumber’s neck blade putter, while the Cleveland Huntington Beach 4 offers a much squarer look for a blade.

The last putter in the new collection is the Cleveland Huntington Beach 6. It has the largest head in the range and is described as a classic mid-mallet shape.

All of the new Cleveland Huntington Beach putters boast the same three key features to improve performance.

The first of those is the Precision Milled Face. That’s where the softer feel comes from and it’s a result of Cleveland making its milling pattern four times deeper than it was before.

Cleveland found that by lowering the smash factor it was able to improve feel, consistency and feel.

The brand says it continually put these putters through robot testing and, as a result, it was able to reduce the smash factor by 4%. A feature we’re more used to hearing about in drivers, Cleveland found that by lowering the smash factor it was able to improve feel, consistency and feel.

The softer 304 stainless steel used in the putters means Cleveland can customise the lie angle to suit your specific stroke as it gives the ability to bend within an eight-degree range.
