• Titleist’s new tour truck is in action for the first time

We received exclusive access to the launch of the new truck at Archerfield Links ahead of the Paul Lawrie Match Play and now we can share some images from inside the state-of-the-art vehicle with you.
To celebrate the occasion, Titleist invited many of its European Tour players including Peter Uihlein, Gary Stal and Morten Orum Madsen to join the brand’s leadership team for a commemorative photo.

As you would expect, the tour truck is packed to the rafters with gear. With Titleist currently seeding its 917 prototype driver with its European Tour pros, the brand’s tour staff estimate they built between 50 and 60 drivers on its first week on tour at this year’s Scottish Open.
On top of that, the truck holds over 100 boxes of Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, over 1,000 different shafts, 50 heads from each of its four iron ranges, as well as between 75 and 100 Vokey SM6 wedge heads.

Add in stacks of FootJoy gloves, Titleist hats, mitts, towels and drawers full of FootJoy rainwear and you start to build the picture of just how much the tour truck holds.
You can’t forget the ‘tour only’ putters made by Scotty Cameron, either.
When it comes to the design of the truck itself, it has been split into two.
These funky tour headcovers are reserved exclusively for the tour players with many of the putter designs also falling into Scotty Cameron’s tour exclusive Circle T family.

When it comes to the design of the truck itself, it has been split into two.
There is what Titleist calls the ‘hospitality’ area, which is where players will sit and discuss changes to their gear, pick up their Pro V1/Pro V1x golf ball and FootJoy gloves for the week.
It’s also somewhere they can catch up catch up with the tour reps, have a cup of tea and even hide from the rain on the odd occasion.
The workshop sits behind a set of automatic doors and now has much more space than it did in the old tour truck.
With spaces set aside for stamping on Titleist Vokey SM6 wedges, there are also machines to adjust the grinds on wedges to suit different playing conditions. As well as that, there is a loft and lie gauge for the Scotty Cameron putters and drawer upon drawer of clubheads, shafts and grips.. It really is a golf gear heaven.
