Last week we told you how Justin Thomas had changed his Titleist 915 driver for a new prototype Titleist 917 model.
This week, Thomas bombed a drive 413-yards off the tee with it.
Jimmy Walker was another who switched to Titleist’s 917D prototype driver at Firestone.

Phil Mickelson is known for constantly making changes to his equipment and last week was no different.
While Lefty wasn’t making any immediate changes to the clubs in his bag, he did make a visit to the Callaway tour truck and was spotted talking changes with the brand’s tour staff. Keep your eyes peeled.

You may well be familiar now with Scottish golfer Scott Jamieson’s Twitter argument with Air France after they offloaded his clubs from an Edinburgh to Paris flight he was on, before proceeding to lose them.
Well, what this saga has given us is an insight into just how much tour pro gear actually costs, with one of Nike’s European Tour fitters suggesting he submit an insurance claim for the new gear he had to build Jamieson as a result.
Did you know tour pro clubs were worth this much? We didn’t either.
@scottjamieson54 @AirFranceUK airframce where do I send the invoice for £25,000 of custom product?
