The limited edition release will see three different head styles – #2, #5 and #7 – made available with the tribute to US Highway 101 found in the aesthetic design.
Odyssey says the key highlight of these putters is the new insert technology that it is calling the Sound Chamber.
That’s how Odyssey is describing the ‘uniquely engineered chamber’ sitting behind the steel insert. It is there to give a crisp sound and more feel at impact. The Metal-X pattern on the insert helps with roll.
The Odyssey Highway 101 #2 head is option is a slightly larger heel-toe blade with a crank neck hosel. Its sole design is dedicated to the road itself with the seagulls signifying its proximity to the ocean.
The Odyssey Highway 101 #5 head is a half moon mallet with a single-bend, slant-joint hosel. Its sole design features a guy on a surfboard, relating to the sun-kissed beaches and ocean running alongside the highway.
The Odyssey Highway 101 #7 head, meanwhile, is described as a progressive mallet with weighted alignment wings and a single-bend, slant-joint hosel. Its sole design features the famed ‘Lone Cypress’ tree found in the 17-mile drive at Pebble Beach.
Each putter also comes with a satin chrome finish, a headweight of 350g and a Highway 101 themed headcover.
