Lybster is a tiny nine-hole course over the Moray Firth which mixes heathland and parkland.

Measuring less than 2,000 yards for its well-presented nine holes, this course is unique in being one of the shortest layouts in all of Scotland.

The course is perfect for beginners looking to hone their skills on the course in the Highlands. There are five par-3s and four par-4s across the nine hole, with a varied challenge offering a thoroughly enjoyable golfing test for players of all abilities. The longest hole is only 318 yards, while the shortest is just 90 yards. Novice golfers can gain confidence on this course, but good shot-making is required for the lower-handicappers to shoot a low score, despite the modest yardages.
