Off-site hospitality packages available to celebrate event’s Ayrshire return
As anybody who has ever been to one knows, Open Championships in Troon are simply amazing occasions. As the battle for the Claret Jug rages over the historic links of Royal Troon’s championship course, the streets of the Ayrsire town are filled with fans looking to soak up the unique atmosphere generated by the world’s oldest professional golf tournament.
This July marks the first time in 12 years that the Open has been staged in Troon and the ninth time in total. To celebrate, Thorne Travel is offering fans a unique experience of the championship.
The Ayrshire-based independent travel agency, which has more than 40 years’ experience in providing luxury travel and events, is hosting private off-site hospitality in a bespoke marquee just a five-minute walk from the golf course grounds.
Guests will be able to enjoy the finest in local cuisine, with breakfast, lunch and an evening barbecue all included, as well as complimentary tea and coffee, a complimentary bar serving beer and wine from noon until 11pm, as well live entertainment at night and a live TV feed from the golf course, so you don’t miss a second of the action.
The packages don’t include a ticket for the championship itself but, if you wish, Thorne Travel can arrange these for you.
Available from the Wednesday practice day and right through the four championship days proper, these packages are available for just £99 per person and subject to terms and availability.
So, whether you’ve got corporate guests you’d like to entertain, a family birthday or anniversary to celebrate, or just fancy being spoiled rotten close to the heart of one of sport’s most iconic events, these Thorne Travel packages are perfect.
