Uni link to make golf accessible

CARNOUSTIE has teamed up with Abertay University in a bid to make golf more accessible.

The partnership is the latest collaboration in a series between the Open venue and the institution, and will focus on increasing participation among under-represented groups, health and wellbeing, the development of new methods to enhance performance and assessing the impact of major events.

Dr Graeme Sorbie, lecturer in the division of sports sciences, said: “Our mission is to help make golf more accessible for anyone who wants to participate. Our research aims to have a meaningful impact on the people involved in golf, both now and in the future, helping improve how golf is perceived.”
