SGU drives forward with deal

Scottish firm Pike & Bambridge become governing body’s new Official Vehicle Partner

The Scottish Union has announced a ground-breaking new sponsorship deal with Pike &Bambridge, which is set to also benefit golf clubs and golf club members across Scotland.

Pike &Bambridge, one of the country’s up-and-coming new car sales and leasing companies, will become the SGU’s ‘Official Vehicle Partner’, providing sponsorship to amateur golf supporting the governing body’s fleet of cars.

The company, which has offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, is represented by brand ambassador Scottish golf star Richie Ramsay, who recently won his third European Tour title - the Trophee Hassan II - in Morocco.

Pike &Bambridge is also a partner of the Professional Footballers Association Scotland and the Law Society of Scotland.

As part of the new agreement, Pike &Bambridge will offer individual Scottish Golf Membership Card holders an exclusive service on new car sales and leasing from their complete range of brands and marques, with golf clubs receiving a commission every time one of their members acquires a new vehicle through Pike &Bambridge.

Ramsay, who received his new Pike &Bambridge sponsored car at the Scottish Boys Championship at Dunbar, where the partnership was launched, welcomed the new announcement.

“I have worked with Pike &Bambridge for two years now and they are a great company to deal with, offering fantastic customer service and knowledge of the car industry,” said the 31-year-old. “The team are very passionate about golf so it’s no surprise to see them supporting the Scottish Golf Union with this new partnership.”
