The Scottish Golf Academy has begun its search for aspiring and dedicated young golfers for the 2016/17 performance programme.
Walker Cup winner and Ewen Ferguson, and Nairn’s Sandy Scott, the 2015 Boys’ Order of Merit winner, are just two who have progressed through the academy in the recent years.
Girls who have benefitted from the performance programme include the 2015 Women’s Order of Merit winner Shannon McWilliam from Aboyne and Chloe Goadby(St Regulus), who won the Girls’ Order of Merit.
If you were under 15 years of age on January 1, 2016, and have a handicap of ten or under for boys, or 20 or under for girls, then you can nominate yourself for consideration in the selection process. Nominations may also be considered from individuals who are outside of the age limit but have shown exceptional improvement over the past year and featured in national events.
Nominations close on July 29, 2016. To find out more, visit scottishgolf.org
