Scotsman Paul McKechnie claimed a narrow one-stroke victory at Moray Golf Club to win the inaugural Grant Property Investment Championship on the 888poker.com PGA EuroPro Tour.
McKechnie, who was the first ever winner of the PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit in 2002, finished with an eight-under-par total, one ahead of Richard Prophet, Will Roebuck and his playing partner Daniel Wardrop who all finished on seven-under-par after 54-holes.
It was a successful few days for McKechnie as he was not only was presented with the trophy for his win, he also took home a cheque for £10,000, a brand new Motocaddy trolley, a set of bagpipes from sponsors Grant Property Investment and a bottle of Moray Golf Club whisky.
“It was great that the EuroPro has been able to come up here to this fantastic golf course,” said McKechnie after his win. “The locals have been great and we had a huge amount of support with people coming out to watch, which was fantastic.”
