South-Central Coast course throws up spectacular views from all 18 holes.
A NEW golf course in Vietnam has called its first golfers to the tee, and the early reviews are said to be extremely positive.
The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, set on Vietnam’s south-central coast, was designed by Australian star Greg Norman and trades on geographical traits that most golf course architects could only dream of.
It comes as no surprise, then, that the unveiling of the new design has attracted some positive attention.
It is expected that the former world No.1’s design will be become one of the country’s top golf courses. Norman spends most of his time these days on golf design projects as his playing duties wind down.
Routed over and around towering sand dunes, with panoramic views of Vietnam’s national forest, and the expansive shoreline of the The Grand Ho Tram Strip, the course offers a thrilling 18 holes of golf, in a setting of inspiring natural beauty.
character
Norman himself commented on the course’s stunning landscape, hailing it as a venue perfect for golf.
“This is one of only two pieces of land of this quality and character that I have ever been given to work with.”
The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip is one of the few championship calibre links courses with significant elevation changes, making for a golf experience that’s as much a feast for the eyes as it is a challenge to tame.
The most spectacular view on course comes on the 15th green. Golfers can take in a 360-degree panorama of the course - a fantastic sight. Beyond that the national forest comes into view, along with the expansive shoreline of The Grand Ho Tram Strip, featuring Vietnam’s first international luxury casino resort.
When finished, The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip will include an elegant 2,300-square-metre clubhouse housing an array of dining outlets and a PGA-staffed driving range, with more than 3,000 square meters worth of practice and training facilities.
Limited golf membership opportunities were rolled out in March, and The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip is among several components of The Grand Ho Tram Strip’s first stage of development.
The ambitious project already features a 541-room upscale hotel, over 10 restaurants and bars, a spa, nightclub, convention center and casino with 90 gaming tables and over 600 slot machines.
