State-of-the-art facility opening soon
Golfers visiting the popular Belleisle Park golf complex in Ayr will soon be able to enjoy the comforts of a new £1.5million clubhouse.
The building is the first part of a wider investment in off-course facilities throughout Golf South Ayrshire’s portfolio, which also includes the extensive refurbishment of both the Troon Links Clubhouse and the Girvan Clubhouse.
The new Belleisle Clubhouse boasts extensive panoramic views over the first hole of Seafield and serves golfers playing both it and its championship-standard namesake sister course. Both courses opened in 1927 and were designed by James Braid. The former has played host to various PGA in Scotland Pro-Ams and is widely regarded as one of the best parkland tests in the south of Scotland. Seafield, meanwhile, is a shorter but challenging layout, which occupies some of the site of the old Ayr racecourse.
The new clubhouse features a large family friendly licensed café, club rooms, a lounge area, and modern changing facilities for both visiting golfers and guests. It will also be the only course in South Ayrshire to have a room dedicated to golf simulators.
On top of that, it has a new pro golf shop, run by PGA pro Richard Gordon, offering an extensive range of clothing and equipment, as well as custom fitting, coaching, and more.
Belleisle has an established reputation as one of the finest inland public courses in the UK, and the new clubhouse is set to further enhance this reputation.
By investing in Belleisle, and its wider portfolio, Golf South Ayrshire will be best placed to serve the golfing community for many years to come.
