Glencruiten's Robert MacIntyre produced a bogey-free final round of 66 to finish in a share of fourth place in the European Amateur Championship at Walton Heath.
The left-hander missed out on the three-way play-off for the title by a shot, having finished on 14-under for the 72-hole event. England’s Alfie Plant took the title in sudden death, with Nairn’s Sandy Scott the next best Scot in a tie for tenth.
Connor Syme of Drumoig and Carrick Neill Scottish Men’s Strokeplay champion Liam Johnston from Dumfries & County also enjoyed strong weeks to share 17th spot.
Meanwhile, young Scottish male golfers picked up valuable skills after travelling to successfully compete in the Finland Under 14s event. Calum Scott finished second in the international competition, with Cameron Johnstone, Cameron Scott and Aidan O’Hagan all placed inside the top six.
