MacDonald on rebound after injury

She may have had a tough start to life on the Ladies European Tour but Kelsey MacDonald is confident that she can and will make her mark at the highest level of the ladies’ game.

A back injury suffered in a freak accident at home has hindered the Nairn golfer in her first full season on the LET. However, now back to full fitness and having made some tweaks to her game with Gavin Abson, the head professional at The Carrick, and European Tour ace Robert Rock, she insists she is ready to get her season back on track.

“I’ve got a better understanding of where my game is at and what I need to do to step it up,” MacDonald told the latest edition of our sister title bunkered. “Winning an event is one of my goals, but I’d like to win by leading from day one and being able to keep a hold of the lead. I guess, until you’re in that situation, it’s hard to prepare for. Attitude is everything and I think it’s important to work hard and be patient.”
