Crail Golfing Society has devised a tried and tested way to make the most of its links with this summer’s Olympic Games – by offering great golf at fantastic rates.
Gil Hanse, the architect who created the new Rio Olympic Course, also designed the society’s Craighead Links and it is now offering you the chance to take advantage of the occasion with a special pass to play the layout.
The new ‘Craighead Summer Pass’ will allow you to experience the Olympic course designer’s work throughout the six months from April to September.
The course, which offers stunning views over the Firth of Forth and the North Sea, was the first new course designed by Gil Hanse. Using the pass, golfers will be able to play as many rounds as they like in the afternoons throughout the summer, every day of the week excluding Saturday.
“Golfers everywhere will be glued to TV coverage of the Olympic golf,” said David Maiden, captain of Crail Golfing Society. “We wanted to offer them the opportunity to play on Fife’s Olympic designer’s course at a gold standard price while the focus was on the Games.
“The pass costs £195 for unlimited play, compared with the normal fee of £67 for one round. It also includes three rounds on the Balcomie, so golfers will be able to have a change if they wish.”
