How the innovative Studio Golf Ayrshire has become one of the premier places to practice in Scotland’s south west

By SCG Newsdesk

One of the south-west of Scotland’s premier indoor golf facilities, Studio Golf Ayrshire, has just celebrated its first full year of business. Based at Stevenston Industrial Estate in North Ayrshire, just a few miles north of Troon, the 3,000 square feet public practice facility is the brainchild of long-standing PGA professional David Rushbury and comprises everything that any dedicated golfer, whether a beginner or scratch player, could want.

As well as an indoor range for practising your long game, where you can make use of launch monitors to get instant feedback on your game, there is also a golf GC2 simulator that allows you to practice as though you were playing some of the world’s finest courses, a short game area which includes a practice bunker, an adjustable level putting green, dedicated kids’ zone, and much more besides.

However, it is not just golfers who can enjoy Studio Golf Ayrshire. A seated terrace sits at the heart of the studio, where hot and cold refreshments, as well as hot snacks, are available from the ‘Tee & Sandwedge’ cafe.

In the short time it has been open, the facility has proved to be a massive hit with golfers and non-golfers alike. Indeed, it actively promotes itself to local schools, as well as other groups, including charitable organisations, disabled groups, and more.

COMPREHENSIVE

Very affordable private coaching is also available, as are group courses for beginners and family coaching.

The studio offers adults a ‘Platinum+’ membership, which offers free practice, discounts on lessons, simulator and launch monitor, as well as entry into the array of monthly long and short game competitions.

Platinum membership is available at a reduced rate, which excludes instruction. Junior membership, meanwhile, offers all of the benefits of Platinum but with the added bonus an ‘In-House Handicap’ offer.

The studio also enthusiastically promotes corporate golf events and kids’ birthday parties.

It truly is a comprehensive offering from what is a fresh and exiting new addition to Ayrshire’s golf portfolio.

“Studio Golf Ayrshire promotes all that is positive in the game and offers a bright, vibrant and relaxed atmosphere making it a great place to meet like-minded golfers, come rain or shine,” explains David. “Our coaching programmes are dynamic, fun and results-driven – an ideal combination.

“A warm and friendly welcome
awaits golfers, beginners, non-golfers young and old, families and companies wishing a truly different corporate golf event.”

As the facility looks to build upon its impressive first year, there are further plans in the pipeline for exciting new developments.

“As Studio Golf Ayrshire continues to evolve and innovate, it maintains its ethos of promoting the golf sport positively in an exciting and vibrant atmosphere,” added Rushbury. “In doing so, it plays a leading role in the world of indoor golf, ‘21st century style’.”
