Cameron McDiarmmid, the starter at the Edinburgh-based Marriott Hotel and Country Club, has won the ISPS Handa British Blind Golf Championship.
Playing off eight, Cameron shot nett scores of 71 and 69 around The Montgomery Course at Kinross to beat a field of over 50 to win by a shot.
McDiarmmid, whose visual impairment falls under the B3 classification for those with have partial sight with visual acuity from 2/60 to 6/60, was understandably delighted to have won the prestigious title.
“I’m over the moon with my performance,” said Cameron afterwards.
“I’ve put time into developing my game in recent years so it’s nice to see some reward for that hard work.
“I’m already looking forward to the prospect
of defending my title next year.”
