ClubGolf fun continues long after summer festival ends

One of Scotland’s top golfers is urging youngsters to take advantage of the chance to enjoy top-class golf and activities on offer at the Junior Ryder Cup next month.

Carly Booth believes the under-18s team tournament provides a great opportunity to see the next generation of golfing stars as well as take part in ClubGolf activities at Blairgowrie Golf Club from Saturday, September 20, to Tuesday, September 23.

The Scot, who now plays on the Ladies European Tour, has fond memories of the team competition. She said: “I was fortunate to play in two Junior Ryder Cups and really enjoyed the whole experience of being in a team representing the whole continent.

“It’s a great opportunity for aspiring young golfers to go along and see other players who are not that much older than them but who are really at the top of their game.

“The best bit about going on practice days is that you get the chance to get close to the teams and perhaps get to chat to them and pick up some tips. The ClubGolf activities sound really fun, and it would be great to share the whole Junior Ryder Cup experience with your club mates or family.”

As well as seeing some of the world’s most talented junior golfers, youngsters can also join in ClubGolf activities which encourage the development of key skills.
