Amendeira Golf Resort in the Algarve has been nominated as one of Portugal’s best resorts at the World Travel Awards.
It will contest the Leading Villa Resort category, which rewards resorts that not only have world-class facilities, but also boast additional attractions and leisure services of the same standard.
Christopher Howell, chairman of the Oceanico Group that operates the resort, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted. The nomination is a real testament to the hard work of everyone at the resort and highlights the array of premium accommodation and facilities we offer. It would be a real honour to win this accolade at such a prestigious event.”
The resort is located in the stunning surrounds of the Algarve and is a great place for golfers and non-golfers alike to visit with on and off the course amenities to cater for everyone.
It has two 18 holes designs – the Faldo and the O’Connor Jnr – as well as a nine-hole academy course. The Faldo is arguably the standout course within the resort and it adds a touch of English course flavour to the sunshine-kissed Algarve.
Away from the golf courses, it has a wide selection of high specification modern apartments and villas with fantastic views over the golf courses. The apartment villages are surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens each with a communal pool, while the villas each include a private swimming pool.
It also boasts six tennis courts and a full-size FIFA accredited pitch.
Prices for a two bedroom apartment start from €244,400 whilst a four bedroom villa starts at €942,500.
