Holidays 4 Golfers announce plans to run Scottish Winter Pro-Am in Portugal for the first-ever time in 2017

The holiday golf specialists are running a Scottish Winter Pro-Am next February at the renowned Vila Sol resort in Portugal and there are still spaces available for you and your friends to join in the fun.

Holidays 4 Golfers are well established as expert Pro-Am organisers in the north of England, having worked on many occasions with the local PGA regions in Lancashire and Yorkshire doing similar events.
After more and more teams from Scotland started to travel from Scotland to Manchester just to fly to their events, they decided to set up a Pro-Am dedicated to Scottish golfers.
Company directors Julie Franklin and Mark Earnshaw set up the company in 2010 and it has continued to go from strength to strength since. They partly put that success down to their bond with the Travel Trust Assocation, which offers 100% financial guarantees to the company’s customers and suppliers.

After four years passing on knowledge and training to their team at their Cheshire base, Franklin decided to put together her own Pro-Am in January 2014. The first Pro-Am had 11 teams, but was very well received. The number of teams grew to 15 teams the following year before reaching a huge 32 teams this year. In fact, it proved so successful, the Lancashire Pro-Am sold out within a week of its announcement.
“We listened very hard to what the golfers wanted and we have worked very closely with airlines, golf courses and hotels to put together a Pro-Am package that really delivers what they have asked us for,” said Franklin. “This year we ran three Pro-Ams – Yorkshire; Lancashire; and Shropshire& Herefordshire – and nearly all of the teams re-booked for next year, which gave us a problem creating space for all of the other enquiries we have.
