GEAR SHORTS Henrik Stenson starts his own brand

Henrik Stenson

Henrik Stenson has officially started his own brand.

The Swede is known for wearing sunglasses in the vast majority of his tournament rounds and has popped up on social media in recent weeks wearing new Henrik Stenson branded eyewear.

It already has its own Instagram page – @henrikstensoneyewear – and Stenson has so far shared pictures of sunglasses and regular glasses from the range, with caddie Gareth Lord also getting in on the action.

Golden touch

From one golden post to another. These golden Lynx Master Model irons are a treat for the eyes. Thanks to Matt Holbrook (@MattHolbrook86) for posting this.

You wouldn’t want to ruin them by actually hitting balls, though, would you?

Throwback treats

Both Callaway and Scotty Cameron hit the spot with their Throwback Thursday offerings last week.

First, we had Callaway with this image of their X Series irons from 2009. It features the full line from that year including the X Forged, X Prototype, and X 22 irons.

Scotty Cameron went even further back for its effort. This is a handmade Scotty Cameron gooseneck mallet from 1994. It’s absolutely stunning.

Throwback to 1994 for this Scott Cameron handmade gooseneck mallet with snow on the back flange and the three point crown dancing on the back wall. Number 2 of 6 handmade in July, 1994. #tbt #scottycameron #theartofputting #craftsmanship

Casey slips on Nike LCV

Nike showcased its new Lunar Control Vapor shoes inspired by Rory McIlroy and snowmobiles last week. Now, Paul Casey is wearing them.

Some of the comments, however, turned the focus to the lack of hair on his legs.

Loving the new Nike Lunar Control Vapor. Also loving the November AZ weather. #nikegolf #newshoes

And finally…

What do you think a Titleist Pro V1 looks like when it’s cooked in the oven? Is it still round? Can it still be hit?

Thanks to Cristie Kerr’s ‘almost three-year-old’, we now know the answers.

Ummmmm….when your almost 3 year old finds a golf ball and puts it into an off oven. Preheating the oven for dinner equals a way different kind of pastry!!! #titleiststruedel #
