With more than 50 years of setting the standards for premium quality and craftsmanship, Ecco developed the Cage to promote increased stability, flexibility and cushioning. The key features of the Cage include:
• Unique, one-piece, DiP stability cage that wraps from the heel through the midsole and across the toe box;
• Anatomical outsole design that aligns and moves in unison with the foot’s essential ligaments and muscles;
• Ecco Freedom Fit combining a snug heel setting with a roomier forefoot area that allows toes to move naturally.
Speaking about the launch of the Cage, Ecco’s head of global golf, Michael Waack, said: “The Ecco Cage further advances our unrivalled position as the key innovator in golf footwear. It is a shining example of the distinctive design and performance that every Ecco customer has come to expect.â€
To ensure a pleasant walk round after round, Ecco Cage is fashioned from lightweight Caldera performance leather. Stain-resistant and easy-to-clean, this soft, supple full-grain cowhide is also exceptionally water-repellant via the Ecco HydroMax treatment.
Showcasing a lightweight, low-to-the-ground construction and the Champ Slim-Lok cleat system, Ecco Cage is crafted at Ecco-owned factories using the Direct-injection Process. This bonds the upper and outsole unit, creating a one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching. Benefits include a firm, water-tight seal.
Endorsed by Tour stars worldwide, the Ecco Golf collection is worn in competition by the likes of Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjorn and Thongchai Jaidee, as well as Scottish Ladies European Tour star Sally Watson.
