Honma announces Scottish demo day

Honma

Japanese clubmaker Honma is offering golfers in Scotland the rare opportunity to try out the golf equipment used by several celebrities as it hosts a demo day at Dundonald Links.

Pure Forged Golf are the only stockists of Honma clubs in Scotland, and it will be giving product and fitting demonstrations of the full 2014 range at the demo day on Friday, April 25.

“Honma makes clubs the old-fashioned way, by hand and with extreme attention to detail,” – Andy Hiseman, Honma’s UK spokesman

Oscar winning actor Jack Nicholson and property mogul Donald Trump both play the 55-year-old Japanese brand’s equipment, which commands over £60,000 for a full set in its 5-star specification, which features 24-carat golf, PT1000 Platinum, and ultra-high performance components.

UK golfers can get their hands on a set of Honma’s for £1,275, and single clubs from £225.

“Honma makes clubs the old-fashioned way, by hand and with extreme attention to detail,” said Andy Hiseman, Honma’s UK spokesman. “It is the opposite of mass production, so like a luxury car, you pay a little more than the norm, to get something over and above what most people have experienced before.

“The demo day is the tried-and-tested way for golfers to get to know a range, and it is important that Honma has taken this step – far too many UK golfers have yet to experience the unique feel of a Honma golf club.
