Situated on the Ayrshire coast just 20 minutes drive from Royal Troon and overlooking the Firth of Clyde and Arran, West Kilbride is a wonderful golf course.

Originally a nine-hole track laid out by the great Old Tom Morris, it was extended to 18 holes by James Braid, with seven of Morris' original holes still in play to this day.

The back nine is particularly strong, with the par-3 12th and double-greened 17th particular standouts.

Proof of its pedigree can be found in the fact that it has staged countless high-profile events down the years, including the Scottish Boys Championship.

A classic embodiment of all that is great about links golf, West Kilbride continues to stand the test of time and is wonderful fun to play all year round.
