Troon Lochgreen is a par-74 course at 6,819-yards, which is a unique mix of parkland and links holes.

Lochgreen is most famous for being the venue that the great Jack Nicklaus qualified for his first ever Open Championship all the way back in 1962.

It is a testing layout with a number of standout holes that will even challenge the seasoned pros. The second and third holes are both par-5s, offering scoring opportunities but also demanding strong huge length and accuracy off the tee. The doglog 16th hole is another superb test, sweeping to the right with punishing gorse and pines catching stray shots. Lochgreen is a course not to be missed on your golfing trip to South Ayrshire.
