With stunning views towards Arran and over the Loch Lomond to the Trossachs, the moorland course at Helensburgh has been described has plenty of supporters.

Over the years, it has been described as one of the best of its kind in the West of Scotland, and this hidden gem really is a must play.

With fantastic greens and fairways in tip top condition, golfers can look forward to an enjoyable round, nestled on the shore of the great river Clyde, and only 23 miles north west of Glasgow.

Founded in 1893, the legendary Old Tom Morris set out the fairways here, and his work shapes the game at Helensburgh, incorporating the natural land and trees.

The modern day layout lives up to that reputation and everyone will enjoy the 1st and 5th holes, two short par-4s.
