Piperdam has the entire Scottish experience with golf, fishing and self-catering lodges in beautiful surroundings, plus fine dining all rolled into one, making it ideal for a weekend away.
Its 18-hole course is a great test, and features one of the most intimidating first tee shots in Scottish golf. Although it's just a short par-3, the hole is played over water, meaning any mishit shot will result in a reload.
It is a parkland course that features five par-3s, all of which require precision and will be key to making a good score on this layout.
The final hole is a great birdie chance, a par-5 that is reachable for most.
Away from the golf course, the resort features a great spa, ideal for relaxing in after a great round of golf.
