With a worldwide reputation as one of golf's finest courses, Western Gailes is a classic Scottish links wedged between the railway and sea in the coastal town of Irvine.

Established in 1897, it lies on a narrow strip of land that runs along the shore, so golfers are always aware of its natural presence and beauty.

The course puts no more emphasis on length than it does on the delicate approach shot but all these skills are examined during a round at Western Gailes.  With beautifully laid out holes and immaculate greens and bunkers, it is no wonder the game's greatest have arrived in their flocks.

There are more severe golfing tests, but few are as forthcoming and friendly as Western Gailes, while the clubhouse is a haven sat in the middle of the layout that everyone will cherish from the moment they walk in.
