Dalbeattie, situated in the north end of the town adjacent to the town's Rounall Wood, is a neat little nine-holer with seven par fours and two par threes.

Over the course of your round there are a few gentle slopes to overcome, though nothing too heavy, and at certain vantage points some wonderful views along the Urr Valley, Kippford and even the Lake District Hills can be found.

The course is renowned locally for being a haven for wildlife; so don't be surprised if you happen to find company other than your partners during your round, while the layout itself has plenty to enjoy.

There is a few tight approach shots into the greens, while the signature fourth hole is a par-4 that is memorable for catching wayward tee shots to both sides.
