Laid out in 1899 by Open champion Willie Park and formally opened by the Earl of Dalkeith MP - grandfather of the Duke of Buccleuch - St Boswells is a pleasant nine-hole parkland along the south bank of the River Tweed that retains much of the character from Park's original design.
On the opposite side of the river is Dryburgh Abbey, which was founded in 1150 and was the birthplace of Sir Walter Scott, and you will also take in plenty of wildlife in what will be one of the more idyllic rounds of golf you will ever play.
