Also known as Bridgend and District Golf Club, Haughburn is situated in the heart of West Lothian, with commanding views north to the Firth of Forth and the Kingdom of Fife.

The club was opened for play in 1998 but was founded several years before by a group of determined villagers who saw the need for a golf course in the area. The original committee decided to build a nine-hole course on the site of an abandoned shale oil mine. Funding was sought and provided and the building of the golf course eventually became a reality.

It is now an enjoyable test of golf and one the locals are rightly proud of.
