Built on gently sloping land that was once the grounds of Ferntower House, the nine-hole Dornock course at Crieff provides a fair, but challenging experience for any level of player.
At 2, 321 yards, the Dornock is decidedly short, but it packs a punch if your not careful. It is ideal for a quick nine, or as part of a thirty-six-hole package for golfers who wish to make a day of it.
There are wonderful views of the local Perthshire countryside and many come just for that, while the golf itself has a touch of everything spread across the nine holes.
The eight is a short par-3 with water to the left, and there are a few reachable par-4s for the longer hitters.
