Nestling in the dunes above the point where the River Ugie and the North Sea meet you will find Peterhead Golf Club, the 18th oldest golf club in the world.

Founded in 1841, Peterhead's Craigewan Links - or Old course, as it's more commonly known - was originally a nine-hole layout by two-time Open champion Willie Park Jr, before it was extended to 18 by Archie Simpson 16 years later.

Created using the natural contours of the land, you can expect plenty of elevation changes here, as well as stunning views across the North Sea.

Don't be put off by the slow start here, once you get into the meat of this traditional Aberdeenshire links, there is a lot of fun to be had.
