Founded in 1906 this is a testing heathland course measuring well over 6,000 yards with a par of 69. It has played host to the PGA Northern Open on numerous occasions and it generally considered to be the finest inland courses in the north of Scotland, a fact many Tartan Tour professionals will testify to.
It is a relatively flat course with some tree-lined holes and, amazingly, houses eight par fours all over 400 yards, offering a severe test to any golfer. Great views are to be had of the city of Elgin and the hills stretching all the way to the distant Cairngorm Mountains. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
