Founded in 1903, Deeside takes its name from the river valley which climbs westward from Aberdeen into the beautiful hill country of Braemar and Balmoral. The club has its home on the lower reach of the River Dee at Bieldside, about five miles from the city. The clubhouse commands a lovely view of the river, the surrounding woods and of the Kincardineshire hills on the opposite bank. The nine-hole Blairs course measures 2,484 yards and contains several holes from the original 18-hole layout. Different tees are provided at each hole for the second nine, which makes this course an excellent alternative to its bigger brother.

If you're in Deeside but want something more relaxed and less time consuming, playing the nine hole layout at the Blairs course is a great alternative.
