Deer Park sits beside the M8 motorway, just east of Edinburgh, and has been the venue for the Scottish PGA Championship and as a regional qualifier for the Open Championship.

At 6, 668-yards off the back tees, it has the length to test even the biggest of hitters, although length isn't everything as you will have to think your way round, too.

The championship layout does have five sets of tees, though, so all golfers can enjoy the top standard of golf course here.

As one of the top golf courses in the Lothians, Deer Park features numerous water hazards in the front nine, while the fairways undulate more on the back nine to provide a different set of holes.

Designed in 1978, the par-3s remain renowned for being the signature aspect of the layout.
