Situated in the east of Glasgow, Calderbraes is a hilly woodland course that is much tougher than its first seems.

Players will have tight fairways to contend with, while almost every hole features out-of-bounds. If you want to give yourself scoring opportunities, then bring your best off the tee, and a few careful approach shots wouldn't go a miss.

The fourth hole, a demanding par-4, is one to pay particular attention to, as it boasts a long second shot to a raised green with out-of-bounds on either side.

Calderbraes, though, is a value for money nine hole course that is a real hidden gem. It's ideal for a quicker game that won't hurt the wallet, and you can't complain when it's in immaculate condition.
