Reay Golf Club sits at the extreme north of mainland Scotland, and is one of the country's best kept secrets. With stunning views of the Pentland Firth and over to Orkney, it's worth making the journey here for the views alone, but the golf is great too.

Reay starts off with a par-3, but at the best part of 240 yards, it's certainly no pushover. If you start off with a bogey here, it's certainly no disaster.

The fourth hole, Sahara, is a stunning par-5 which plays nearly 600 yards long. However, the signature hole is the par-5 sixth, which has been voted by members of the northerly club as the best on the course. Named Braid's Choice, due to the famed architects liking of the hole, it's one that you'll certainly remember.

This is a fantastic small club in the far north of Scotland.
