Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club

Located just north of Inverness, on a piece of land that sticks out into the Moray Firth, Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club is a fantastic links course.

Characterised by narrow fairways that are lined by gorse bushes, this is a course that can be a challenge when the wind blows, as it often does.

One of the most memorable holes on the course comes at the fifth, a par-3 that is played across the road that runs through the course. Although it's short on the scorecard, this hole often plays into the wind and can be a card wrecker if you're not careful.

The back nine features several short but tricky par-4s, all of which require precision, or else you're likely to be reaching for another ball.
