One mile north of Scalloway between Asta and Tingwall Lochs lies the remote Asta nine-hole course.
This is a different way to play the game. For example, local wildlife runs freely across the course, wind is a constant feature throughout your round and the views are undoubtedly some of the best you are ever likely to come across on a golf course.
Asta say they are home to the most northerly nine hole course in Scotland, and although it might not garner the reputation of some of the bigger names in the country, it's well worth playing.
The welcome is wonderful, the course enjoyable and the experience one to cherish for a very, very long time.
