Despite its proximity to the coast, Scoonie is a parkland course in nature. The members are justifiably proud of the fact that the course is always maintained to a high standard, be it green or fairway.

The fact that Scoonie is a short course lends itself to the bigger hitters who fancy their chances of going 'low'. Take note, however, spray it a little wide round here and you could run into your fair share of problems. The views are superb and make for a quite entertaining round of golf whatever the time of year.
