Saline is a nine-hole course with its south-facing hillside section boasting tremendous views along the length of the River Forth and Bridges, with the rolling hills of the Lothians and westward to Ben Lomond.

It was founded in 1912 at its present location and has been lengthened with several new tees to provide a more modern test. The excellent turf is kept in good order and visitors are made to feel very welcome. The signature hole, the 160-yard par three eighth, is down hill all the way and can make or break a scorecard.
