The Gleneagles King's Course is the former home of the Scottish Open and is still regarded by many players as their favourite layout at one of the leading golf resorts in the world.  Created by the legendary James Braid, the King's Course was opened in 1919 and remains a favourite to this day.

A moorland venue in stunning surroundings, it is a masterpiece of golf course design which requires sublime course management from start to finish. Among many world-class holes, it is difficult to beat the 13th named "Braid's Brawest", the par-4 that Braid listed as his favourite on the design. Pinpoint accuracy is required to avoid the "Auld Nick bunker" off the tee, while the approach is equally as testing with a narrow contoured green protected by more sand traps. Widely regarded the best moorland course in the world, The King's Course does not disappoint.
