Situated at the gateway to Grampians, in the foothills of the dramatic Angus Glens, the Old Course at Edzell is the senior of club's two tracks.

Originally laid out in the late 19th century by Bob Simpson, it was re-designed in the 1930s based on recommendations made by the acclaimed James Braid before further sympathetic upgrades were carried out by Mackenzie & Ebert in 2015.

Primarily a heathland course, most of its fairways are framed by trees, the result of a tree-planting programme carried out in the 1960s.

Perhaps the most memorable hole on the courser is the par-3 14th. Taking its name from a battle in the first Boer War in 1985, 'Majuba' is a tricky little card-wrecker with a deceptively sloping green.

One of the finest inland courses in Scotland, Edzell promises a terrific day out and exceptional value for money.
